Accessibility

How FaithDaily is built to be read by everyone, and how to tell us when it is not.

Last updated

FaithDaily is built to meet WCAG 2.2 at level AA. We would rather be told where we fall short than assume we do not.

What we do

Every page has landmarks and a single heading order. All interactive elements can be reached and operated with a keyboard, and the keyboard focus is always visible. Text and its background meet a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1 in both the light and the dark theme. Images that carry meaning have descriptions; decorative plates are hidden from screen readers. Live pages announce new posts to assistive technology without moving your place. Animation respects your system’s reduced-motion setting. The site uses your system’s own fonts and honours your preferred text size.

Known limitations

Images from other outlets sometimes arrive without a useful description, and we show the outlet’s own text where one exists. Audio versions of pieces are provided where they exist; transcripts are the piece itself.

Tell us

If any part of the site is difficult to use, write to desk@faithdaily.news and say which page and what happened. We reply within five working days and fix what we can.
