FaithDaily is a daily news publication for Christians who want to know what is happening across the churches and to keep one foot in the text while they read about it. Each morning carries a verse, a short devotional and the overnight reporting; through the day the wire fills with the news of the church, and the desk writes the pieces that the news alone does not explain.
FaithDaily covers Christian life in all its breadth — the churches, the people who fill them, and the faith, scripture and stories they share. Every tradition and every reader is welcome here.
What we are for
Most of what a Christian reads about the church is written for someone else: for a denomination, for a party within it, or for a general audience that needs everything explained from the beginning. We write for a reader who already belongs somewhere, who is curious about the rest of the family, and who would rather be told the truth slowly than be reassured quickly.
That means reporting on churches we disagree with, linking to outlets we would not have written the same way, and publishing testimony from readers whose experience does not resolve neatly. It also means saying plainly when we do not know something.
How the site is made
Three kinds of thing appear here, and they are kept visibly distinct. Reporting from other outlets appears as a headline, a short excerpt and the picture the outlet attached, and the headline opens the article where it was written. Pieces written here carry the byline of the FaithDaily desk or a named writer. Testimony carries the name of the person who sent it and runs only after a member of the desk has spoken with them.
Some of the daily pieces — the verse of the day, the short devotional, the study prompt and the morning prayer — are drafted with the help of an editorial engine and checked against the text of Scripture before they run. Everything else that is written here is written by a person and approved by a named editor before publication. Our standards page describes this in full.
Who we are
FaithDaily was founded in 2026 and is published by an independent desk. We are not owned by, funded by or answerable to any denomination, network or ministry. Our income comes from readers who choose to support the work and from a small number of clearly marked sponsors who have no say in what we publish.
